I...really can't believe I actually went through with this.

Real quick, there may be an volume problem towards the end during the Champion Fight and the ending scene; I bring this up because without earphones it sounded loud, but with them it sounded mostly fine. It might be because of my wife and I's damaged hearing, but if there's a legit problem...could you let me know?

Rules more in detail:
1. The only Pokemon allowed in battle will be my starting Pokemon; as you know, today it is Hitmonlee.
2. I am not allowed to use items during battle. This is before held items existed, so that is not a factor today.
3. I am not to boost my Evasion, this would be done through a move like Double Team, and I do what I can to Minimize the use of Smokescreen and Sand-Attack as well (sorry).
4. When it comes to Generation 1, glitches are a part of the experience, but in the runs I perform, I do not allow any major overworld glitches nor exploits to be performed. This includes using the Pokedoll to skip the Ghost Marowak, ergo the Rocket Hideout in Celedon, meaning I will have to go through that section of the game in order to progress. With that said, a minor exploit like Digging out of the Pokemon Fan Club or one of the Gyms if applicable are allowed since this simply saves on time rather than skip entire sections of the game. Battle glitches like the Dig/Fly Invulnerability Glitch I also do not intentionally set up. It's also worth noting that the Badge Boost Glitch is permitted during these runs, as trying to gatekeep its use would not only be arduous in the face of every Pokemon that likes to reduce your stats, I feel it goes against the spirit of Generation 1 myself, now having played it about as much as the other generations I love.
5. To keep the playing experience as minimally tedious as possible, I played the game at a higher speed; though I set it to 4x speed, I could only consistently keep it at 3.5x. Because I'm playing at such a high speed, I do not use the bike outside of the route where it is mandatory. I also maximized my Pokemon's DVs, or what were eventually turned into IVs by Generation 3. To keep to the spirit of Pokemon, I also do what I can to avoid saving between Elite 4 members, which thankfully for this run that was not a factor, unlike the time I tried Vulpix. Never ask me to replicate this one.
6. This above all is the most important rule of them all: Experience gained from trainers must be the minimum possible, which means as few actual battles as possible. This doesn't just limit our Pokemon's level, it also limits what we're allowed to collect through the game.
