In this video. I show you one of the missions from Hitman Absolution, where your aim is to eliminate Lenny's gang, and to infiltrate their hangout. Of course, this being Hitman, their are a tonne of ways to achieve this, and in this video you will see the strategy I used to overcome this mission!
Hitman Absolution offers gameplay that very few, if not any, other games offer. In most instances you're given a target, or targets, and you're aim is to take them down in any way you wish. The game gives you such a variety of ways to achieve this, from sneaking through the level to eventually strangle your target with fibre wire, or to disguise yourself a a drug dealer, poison the drugs and sit back and watch your target slowly suffocate! I would list more, but there is just too many ways of killing your target.
And this is one of the elements I aim to show in this video, variety of deaths. I show you the stealthy side of assassinating, and then the more over-the-top way of assassinating. This is my own strategy, and I always aim to be a Silent Assassin, as personally I prefer being unnoticed as an assassins instead of blasting my way through a level. And that's what you will see in this video.
For me, Hitman Absolution is easily one of the best games I've played this year, the only other game I can think that gives you the same amount of awesome gameplay would be Max Payne 3. I've been a fan of Hitman for a very long time, and some fans may not like the new approach to the series, as an actually story is set in place which doesn't mean you are always assassinating targets. Sometimes you can either be escaping, or entering a facility to obtain information. Personally I like this new approach, as it shows you the personal story of Agent 47, which the other games didn't really show (With the exception of him killing his creator).
So although Absolution takes a new path in terms of story telling, it still has the good old ways of playing Hitman, with disguise changes, hiding bodies, funny Easter Eggs, a variety of ways to play and more. So overall, I believe Hitman Absolution deserves to be Game of the Year, if not, it should come close!
