This film shows progress of the construction of Hitachi Rail Europe’s Train Maintenance Centre in Stoke Gifford, South Gloucestershire, near Bristol. Through rain and sunshine, work has been ongoing for the last 18 months. The Train Maintenance Centre will be home to some of the Class 800 and Class 801 trains on the Great Western Main Line, as part of the UK government’s Intercity Express Programme.
