For their historic bronze medal-winning performance in the Oceania Championships on home soil and a familiar court, the Guam Women’s National Volleyball Team was honored by senators Vince Borja and Jesse Lujan at the Guam Congress Building. The strong showing by an all-star roster with firepower, speed and grit at every position, qualified us for next year’s Pacific Games in Tahiti, and moved our program’s up to 70th in the world and 12th in Asia.
People will be talking about this squad for decades. It’s a group of ladies and their coaches who lived up to the hype, became a true team, and whose medal-winning performance and hospitality the entire week will live forever.
