This is a documentary with color footage of actual kamikaze (神風 Divine Wind) special air-corps attacks on the US military during World War II (Kamikaze activity: 1944-1945). It includes scenes from the Battles of Leyte Gulf, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa as well as background information about the demise of AXIS power in Europe, and the mid- and South-Pacific and Marianas, which led to more severe and desperate efforts at thwarting defeat. This film also mentions manifestations of the suicide concept in the form of man-powered missiles, bomb-laden planes, high-altitude bomber interceptors, bomb-laden boats, and suicide torpedo/submarines (Kaiten 回天 or "Return to Heaven"). At the time of the Japanese surrender, 5,000 suicide planes of all types had been readied to protect the island of Kyushu from the invading American "devils".
