Andreĭ Vladimirovich Ikonnikov, Russian architecture of the Soviet period
Fundamentals of Marxism-Leninism
A. Palladin, "The Ruined Cities Are Reborn", USSR information bulletin, Volume VIII, no. 14, July 28, 1948
Robert Dale, “Divided we Stand: Cities, Social Unity and Post–War Reconstruction in Soviet Russia, 1945–1953”, Contemporary European History, Vol. 24, No. 4, Special Issue: Urban Societies in Europe (November 2015)
Alexei Tarkhanov, Stalinist architecture
Maurice Frank Parkins, City planning in soviet Russia
Hans Blumenfeld, "USSR Postwar Reconstruction", TASK Planning and Architecture, Vol. 7-8, special issue on Reconstruction (published by Harvard University), 1948

I. Vizen, "Prefabricated Housing Booms in USSR As New Buildings Rise", USSR information bulletin, Volume VIII, no. 23, December 8, 1948
A. Bazdyrev, “History of Soviet Architecture: From Palaces to Boxes”

*Tarkhanov, Parkins and Dale are capitalist authors whose work I don’t recommend. Ikonnikov is a revisionist whose work is of varying quality. Fundamentals of ML is a revisionist textbook, which should be read only very critically. Blumenfeld is a liberal but his writings are good. Bazdyrev is also a good author. I also recommend the USSR information bulletin.
