I hopped on an open mic on SFT (I know, I know, but look - YECs don't want to leave YEC platforms, so if you want to talk to YECs, you have to go where they are) to talk to Paul Price, formerly of Creation Ministries International, about "historical" science and how we can test hypotheses and draw conclusions about the past. I think this is an informative conversation, especially the end where Paul pulls back the curtain a bit in making basically the exact opposite argument to the one he'd been making the whole rest of the show.
The takeaway is that we can absolutely test hypotheses and confidently draw conclusions about the past.
