Song dedicated to the Republic of Užice, a short-lived liberated Yugoslav territory and the first liberated territory in World War II Europe, organized as a military mini-state by the partisan resistance movement that existed in the autumn of 1941 in occupied Yugoslavia.
This song was not used as the official anthem of the republic as it was written after the war.
