Marines assigned to Battery R, 5th Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, launch a rocket from a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23) during Exercise Dawn Blitz.

The demonstration on Anchorage consisted of HIMARS engaging a land-based target with a Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System Unitary (GMLRS-U). The rocket successfully destroyed a target at 70 kilometers while at sea.
