![Super Meat Boy - Chapter 5 (The Rapture) No deaths (Maggot Boy)
-The Rapture-
Wow...this was a heck of a lot easier than I expected it to be. Only took me like 40 (give or take) deaths to complete, which is actually less than hell did.
Anyway, since most of the levels are somewhat long and menacing, I have written individual level comments:
5-1 [The Witness]: First level, no problem as usual. It can kill you a few times if youre going for speed though.
5-2 [Evangel]: Here we introduce a gimmick...that I suck at! Yay! It may be a non-issue in this easy level, but theyll be trouble later, trust me.
5-3 [Pipe Decay]: Not hard, but pretty fun to just run through.
5-4 [Rise]: Quite nasty for the 4th level actually, but once you practice those tight jumps its no biggie.
5-5 [Panic Switch]: Run meatboy, Run!
5-6 [Left Behind]: A really fun level. No really all that hard, but damn is it satisfying to speedrun.
5-7 [The Fallen]: Okay, I hate this one. Not a fan of the way you have to get the keys. Failing at the second one ruined more attempts than Id like to admit.
5-8 [Descent]: Nothing to worry about if you know what youre doing.
5-9 [Abomination]: Pretty challenging actually, mostly because how random those zombies are sometimes.
5-10 [Grinding Mill]: Cakewalk, though the last jump killed me one too many times. (Maybe twice.)
5-11 [Heretic]: I love how you can skip like half the level here.
5-12 [10 Horns]: Not that bad aside from one awkwardly placed zombie.
5-13 [The Lamb]: A fun one, and a breather also. I do think they were going for a Mega Man style disappearing block puzzle design for this level, which is of course awesome.
5-14 [King Carrion]: Epic shortcut again, saves a lot of time.
5-15 [The Flood]: A lot of people dread this one. I did too until I practiced it to death. I guess its still somewhat difficult due to some tight jumps.
5-16 [Rotgut]: Man, this chapter sure loves them shortcuts!
5-17 [The Kingdom]: Not a difficult level at all, but by the time you reach this far youre a nervous mess, which makes the simplest of obstacles seem like an everest.
5-18 [Gate of Ludd]: The hardest one by a mile. Maybe its just me, but I cant for the life of me handle those magnetic orbs or whatever the hell they are. Killed me a lot to say the least.
5-19 [Wrath]: Once you get in sync with those quad rocket launchers, youre set. And then there are nerves all happy and ready to rain on your parade.
5-20 [Judgment]: I actually thought this level would be an incredible pain until I learned that you could lure those flying fuckers. Thank GOD for that..oh wait.
Difficulty: 6/10

![Super Meat Boy - Chapter 3 dark (The Salt Factory) No deaths (Missile Boy)
-The dark side of the salt factory-
By far the hardest one yet, this was pretty painful. I had about 80 outtakes before I stopped counting, so damn was I happy to get this over with.
And guess what? It gets far worse from here on! Yay!
Comments:
3-1x [Step One]: That first jump was rather troublesome. I had a lot of 5 second clips, thats for sure. Otherwise, first level so nothing much.
3-2x [Salt + Wound]: A fun level I guess, but gets REALLY dull when you play it for the hundreth time.
3-3x [The Red Room]: This one killed me quite a few times until I learned that you could jump over that last saw.
Fraps also seems to hate this level, because randomly it just decided to drop my fps to 50 for no apparent reason.
3-4x [Assemble]: Conveyor belts EVERYWHERE! If you hate them, youll hate this level for sure. I used to hate it, but playing it over and over again eliminated that issue.
3-5x [Wasp]: I really dont know what this level has to do with wasps, but it sure is pretty annoying. Oh wait, now I get it.
3-6x [Not You Again]: A level thats obviously meant to frustrate you. Practicing the last jump is the key, so when you get the timing down, its not a problem.
3-7x [Pluck]: Wow, this one just sucks. Not that its particularily hard or anything, just the overall designs what I think is terrible. You absolutely need to know that you can grab the key while flying off the belt, otherwise youll never make it.
3-8x [Salt Crown]: A rather fun one Id say. Never stopping once is the optimal plan here, just run as fast as you can and you should be fine.
3-9x [Goliath]: Not a hard level at all, though you might get a few close calls involving missiles.
3-10x [Exploder]: Getting back up is the hardest part here, so the best plan I found was to not dissolve all the blocks, because that way you have some kind of a shield to block the missiles with.
3-11x [The Salt Man]: Actually a very well designed level if you go through it the way it was meant to, but screw that noise! Im not taking any risks.
3-12x [Hellevator]: So this exists, and I bloody well wish it didnt! Never before has a level had so many close calls in such a short time, its insane I swear. If you screw up your timing just once, a missile will tag you WITHOUT fail. Its just that simple. You HAVE to practice this one a lot beforehand if you ever decide to do this, trust me.
3-13x [Black Circle]: Again, close calls galore, but not nearly as bad as the last level.
3-14x [Salmon]: This levels weird..it feels like it should be one hardest levels in the chapter, but isnt really. Its still kind of difficult because of the precise jumps though.
Also, I really dont know what the hell this level has to do with salmon, but whatever
3-15x [Vertebreaker]: Not really a hard level, but nerves can always kill you I guess. Just remember that touching those sawblade shooters will kill you.
3-16x [The Chaser]: A well deserved breather before the storm is always swell.
3-17x [Ashes]: I actually find this level far more consistent than the light world variant which is odd, but Im not complaining. Its still hard, but meh. I wish I could say the same for the next one.
3-18x [Bile Duct]: ...Fuck. Where should I begin.
Not only is the level ugly as shit, but its also by FAR the most annoying level in a long list of annoying levels in this chapter. Getting the key without dying is as hard as it looks, and just surviving the absolute hodgepodge of saws the wall shoots at you is something else man. I died here maybe 15 or so times, and thats a lot when you take in count the suffering I went through just to get this far. Now I wouldnt mind this if this was the third or fourth level or something, but the fact that its the third to last goddamn level (which I see is becoming a trend by the way) is what breaks me. In short, I hate everything about it.
3-19x [El Topo]: A breather in between a nightmare and a hard level. The close call with the second rocket made my heart skip a beat though.
The bandage here is something I have to mention. Its by far one of the most nefarious things that I have ever witnessed in gaming.
3-20x [Sweet Pea]: A genuinely hard level. The final rocket launcher assaults you so goddamn violently that you practically have to hug the rockets sometimes just to get the key. Once you get it, its just a matter of not panicking and losing your rhythm.
