Eagle Rock is a popular waypoint on the Pacific Crest Trail outside the town of Warner Springs. It is a great 6 mile trail that takes you through a nice shaded area out to a valley with massive views. We did this hike in February of 2020 and there was a lot of green and a small creek that ran alongside the trail. I imagine it is pretty hot in the summer months though.
