Today we visit the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. After sitting on the edge and enjoying the view along with some local wildlife, we hike along the rim trail over to the Historic Village and head down the Bright Angel Trail. After reaching the Mile and a half rest house, we head back up and celebrate the successful hike with some ice cream. Then it's off to set up camp but not before running not a family of local elk.
