Solo Hiking / Wild Camping in Joshua Tree
HIKE OVERVIEW:
An unforgettable overnight solo hiking and backpacking trip into the Joshua Tree National Park backcountry, located where the Colorado and Mojave Deserts collide to form a truly majestic and special landscape. In this episode, I hiked in on the northern end of the Boy Scout Trail, near Indin Cove Campground, to campsite #5 (permit required) and enjoyed a completely silent night to myself under the stars. Since the weather was fantastic with completely clear skies, I decided to camp with the rain fly off and enjoy the nighttime views. Heard an owl overhead at some point along with the nighttime bats. A truly peaceful experience.
