This is Sarah's (wife), Clark (our blue-merle border collie), and my 4th attempt of this steep hike in June of 2023. Finally - the weather was clear, the ground was dry, it proved to be a good overall day.
Fast forward, a month later, we did this hike again but rather than hike back down, we WALKED all the way down Farmington Canyon road (but didn't record that trip). It was 18 miles and Clark, slept like a baby and was sore the next day and could hardly walk correctly.
Anyway, this was Clark's 1st successful hike up this trail and we were proud of him for hiking 9 miles round-trip and close to 4500 feet in elevation gain! He is an awesome adventure dog.
