In this video, I travel to Arizona and I go on three hikes that include:
Signal Peak in KOFA Wilderness Refuge - A challenging 4.3 mile out and back climb on a "rustic" trail climbing 2,047 feet to a total of 4,859 feet. Also adding to the charm of the adventure was a very rough wilderness road that I could not drive all the way adding about 6 miles to the walk. While challenging, the hike was beautiful.
Cammelback Mountain - A very popular double black diamond hike in the heart of the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. I was amazed by both the beauty of the trail and how difficult it was for a tourist location. I climbed up the steeper Echo Valley Trail and came back down the longer but easier Cholla Trail. If you have a few extra hours in Phoenix, go climb this, but don't underestimate how challenging it will be.
Quartzsite Wash - Running through Quartzsite is a large wash. I walk up the wash and walk across the desert to the Quartzsite Golf Club.
