In this EASD Early Career Academy Webinar, Niklas Mejhert and Mikael Rydén from the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden describe how high-resolution spatial approaches applied to human white adipose tissue biopsies from clinical studies can be used to uncover the cellular organisation of the tissue. By integrating spatial transcriptomics and complementary profiling techniques, they aim to better understand adipose tissue biology in both health and cardiometabolic disease.
