Some highlights from our recent expedition in Tonga working with the 100 Island Challenge of the Scripps Institution for Oceanography and our new partners in Tonga, The Vava'u Ocean Initiative. We first worked in Vava'u several years ago with SPREP and the Vava'u Environmental Protection Association. We knew it was the beginning of a beautiful relationship and have been back several times since then, culminating in this most recent expedition. We hope to be working in Tonga for at least several more years. Enjoy!
