High school football is back for a new season and week one has some key match ups across Northeast Wisconsin. Bay Port takes on Middleton and Hamilton will face Kimberly and Mukwonago will be at Appleton North. Our Game-Time game of the week is Notre Dame at Neenah, Friday Night. A list of all the match ups can be found on our website. The fundraising group for Bay Beach Amusement Park is donating $1.5 million dollars to help pay off debt. Officials say that is expected to free up future park revenue for other park projects. The Friends of Bay Beach is making the donation with the caveat the city council will not take on any other debt for the park for the duration of their terms, which end in April 2028. Some farmers say a year of strange weather in Northeast Wisconsin will have an impact on the apple crop. People across the area saw a March snowstorm, flooding in parts of the area and recent destructive storms, plus a hot and dry July. Experts say some varieties of apples aren’t growing well this season. And that’s your FOX 11 morning minute.
