I supported International Observe the Moon day recently and took at 200GB photo of the Moon. TEC160FL with ZWO2600MC Pro camera, best 20% of 4000 frames. As you take the ‘tour’ down the terminator of the Moon, there is tons of detail to absorb, but I’d like to point out 3 things.
Near the top, there is a ragged scar on the surface called Vallis Alpes.
About half way down just right of the terminator are two thin horizontal canyons: Rima Huginus and Rima Ariadaeus. Finally, near the bottom left there’s Walther crater, which clearly shows a long shadow cast by its central mountain peak across the crater’s floor.
