Today we're stepping into the wild and hilarious world of High on Life and its DLC, High on Knife, for the PS4. *** FYI *** The Glitches are Intentional in this Game.
If you've never heard of High on Life, it's a single-player first-person shooter that combines fast-paced action, exploration, light puzzle-solving, and a healthy dose of over-the-top comedy. You play as an ordinary human who suddenly becomes an intergalactic bounty hunter after an alien cartel invades Earth with plans to capture humans and use them as an addictive narcotic. Armed with a collection of living, talking guns, each with its own unique personality and special abilities, you'll travel across strange alien worlds, hunt down dangerous criminals and uncover the mystery behind the invasion.
Once you've completed the main adventure, the story continues in the DLC High on Knife. This expansion picks up after the events of the base game and sends you on an all new bounty filled with creepy new locations, bizarre enemies, memorable characters, and even more outrageous humor. While it keeps the same first-person shooter gameplay that made the original so much fun, High on Knife adds a darker, horror-inspired twist to the adventure, making it feel like a fresh new chapter rather than just a small add-on..

What is High on Life?
High on Life is a single-player first-person shooter with a heavy focus on comedy and story. Developed by Squanch Games (founded by one of the co-creators of Rick and Morty) Mixes shooting, exploration, puzzles, and lots of dialogue humor. You’re a human bounty hunter fighting an alien cartel that’s kidnapping humans to use as drugs.
Key features:
Talking guns (each with personalities and jokes)
Open-ended levels with missions/bounties
Crude humor, adult content, and lots of weird sci-fi stuff
Entirely single-player only (no multiplayer)
What the PS4 “DLC Bundle” includes
Included content:
Base game: High on Life
DLC expansion: High on Knife
What the DLC “High on Knife” adds: This is NOT just a small add-on.. It’s more like a mini-sequel story.
Main additions:
A new story campaign focused on the character Knifey
New planet/areas (including a creepy “horror-style” setting)
New enemies and bosses
New talking weapons (like a pinball-style gun)
New characters and voice actors
More emphasis on horror-comedy tone
The Timeline: It takes place after the main game, about 2 years later. You can play it without finishing the base game, but it’s better if you do.
What kind of experience it is Fast-paced shooting with unique weapons in a Semi-open areas, not fully open world with the tone being very goofy, crude and talk-heavy.
Main game rund about 8–12 hours and the DLC runs about 3–5 hours.
Fully playable on PS4 (also works on PS5)
