What is a Macro Rail really good for? High magnification macro photograph with the NiSi NM-180 Macro Focusing Rail. As this is supposed to be used to focus stacking my favourite application is using it at high magnification on a tripod to nail focus, especially because my 60mm lens of Laowa is build with a magnification ring, instead of an ordinary focus ring. When using an eight of rotation you move the camera 150µm which will cover stacks taken wil lens between 1:1 and 5:1 magnification.
