When taller weeds are sporadic, such as one or a few standing above the rest, they may not create a health or safety concern and should not be reported.
To correct a violation, grass should be cut below 12 inches and weeds should be trimmed back and kept under control. In some cases, that may mean getting help from a neighbor, family member or lawn service.
