today's the day! the (literal) high point of our 3 day trek. it's summit day! except there's a catch: we need to get from our high camp, to the summit, all the way back down to base camp on the main river in ONE DAY.
with no knowledge of what the path to summit would be like, we went in completely blind and unprepared for the experience we were about to have. what an incredible and rewarding experience to summit mt donaldson on this beautiful saturday afternoon.
all in all the least dangerous of the 3 day trek, BUT, probably the most tiring purely based on distance.
