The Hifiman R9 is an interesting headphone: a closed back dynamic from a company that typically makes open back planar headphones… Not sure they really did a great job with it. Luckily, there are people like JM Audio out there who can take something that is objectively pretty mediocre and elevate it to something that is quite enjoyable and competitive.
