Quick video of one of my last minute additions/improvements before for my exodus to Dragon Con 2012.
Didn't think I'd figure out a way to make a hidden blade I liked as much as my hidden SMG... but just in time for my first trip to MegaGame-O-RamaCon. I'll be honest, I'm felling quite chuffed.
Basically the same design idea as my Hook blade mixed with my original hidden short sword but made with laser cut plastic parts (3D printed parts lack needed impact toughness). This design is a bit simpler since the blade only has to lock out (the arm mount locks the blade in on my arm). Tried a different safety ring system I saw a while back (can't remember where). Works well with how this one deploys.
Made from random bits of plastic I've had around for a while, 3D printed spacers/locks, orthodontic elastics bands, and a bunch of M1.6 nuts n' bolts.
