The Japanese organisation Nihon Hidankyo, is a grassroots movement of atomic bomb survivors from Hiroshima and Nagasaki, also known as Hibakusha. It received the Nobel Peace Prize for its efforts to achieve a world free of nuclear weapons and for demonstrating through witness testimony that nuclear weapons must never be used again.
This interview with Nihon Hidankyo co-chairs Terumi Tanaka, Shigemitsu Tanaka and Toshiyuki Mimaki was recorded in Oslo in December 2024 and has been produced by the Nobel Peace Center.
