About time Ho-Oh got some love, Dragoknights. Ho-Oh may not be a beloved fan favourite like Lugia is, but I love it, and I love it's battle theme from HGSS, so eat your heart out, Lugia. Rainbows are legit, and Ho'-Oh is a rainbow bird, so it's pretty cool if you ask me--especially with that incredible lore, creating the Legendary Llamas and stuff! It's battle theme is basically all strings and timpani, so I had to work on creating and arrangement that was as good as the original with so few instruments. Literally all I used in my arrangement was various strings (forming a pretty badass string section if you ask me) and a few timpani. I'm not used to using so few kinds of instruments in my grand orchestral music, so it was challenging for me to just be okay with sticking to what worked instead of recreating the song entirely and making an original work. Hopefully it worked, and hopefully you'll dig the song, Dragoknights. And for the 99% of you asking...Lugia's Song is a thing, and it's happening next week. Get ready to clench your butt like never before. Also, bring kleenex.
