I only found this out a while ago but "Funiculì, Funiculà" is an 1880 Neapolitan song that was meant to encourage people to ride a newly opened cable railway up Mount Vesuvius. I've been listening to historical music and marches because of GuP for so long and you get used to songs with military or political themes of the times so Funiculì, Funiculà was a welcome surprise.
