For people using the easy and slow route.

After exiting Clock Town turn straight left and start a HESS.
Carry it all the way to the corner of the observatory area and get an angle that's somewhat like shown in the video (not that precise).
Pause and change ESS to left, unpause and buffer a B input.
Now even if you got a bad angle and clip oob you will jumpslash back into bounce and can go for the fast backup.
