Every day for at least four weeks before his birthday Rupert woke up and asked if the day had arrived: “happy birthday to you, me? Not yet, maybe, soon? Is it today?”



Since falling in love with a dolls house on our trip to Malaysia in January he has been completely obsessed with them and thus knew exactly what he wanted whenever anyone asked. Which, I’ll be honest, is my dream come true!


Playing with my grandparents’ dolls house- a relic from the 1800s- was a formative part of my childhood. I adored setting up the house and creating little scenarios for the family to enjoy. Now Rupert’s dreams have come true and I watch him do the same thing with his new little family and their sweet little house 🥰🏡
