A little under 2 weeks ago I started a new solo to take a bit of a break from the scary megacollab Ive been working on. While working on it, a few viewers in my stream chat complained about how I only make list demons and should make more levels that are possible so I decided to take a break from my solo that was a break from the spooky level to make this.
A simple, easy going easier level for you guys. Was made in 12 days, can argue a few less as I didnt work everyday (foreshadowing) but for all intents and purposes from start to finish it was 12 days. So yeah, hopefully you guys enjoy this little level of mine. Was inspired quite a bit from the styles created in Protoflicker/row as well as I See Stars. Its definitely just glow design, but I feel like those levels have streamlined a more defined offshoot of it which Ive really fell in love with.

Im not usually one to support the idea of making a big final project for this game. I think its usually just an excuse from the creator to keep going, or to make the years they spent feel like it was worth it in some validating way. Which is fair enough, but it often results in something disingenuous, as youre usually not passionate about your craft anymore. With all that being said though, I made this about 7 months ago, during the time that I was more than excited to continue playing the game. Little did I know how much things would falter as time passed. I made the base layout then, and since have only ever opened it to change a structure or two. I knew I wouldnt be able to make this into the project that I envisioned, so I ended up recruiting @xe_nithhhh whos been making some incredible visuals for other creators and layouts in the last few months. Really talented guy.
Things went incredibly smooth, and this is the end result. A brand new ZeroSR layout using a melodic Virtual Riot tune. Seems almost poetic, if only this wasnt a Geometry Dash layout lol.
Serious note though, Im really happy w how far Ive come in layout creating. I started in 2016 I believe, heavily inspired by creators like Taman and Woogi1411, before eventually finding Ocular Miracle and all of the creators that made that into the project it was. Its been a lot of years of learning, unlearning bad habits, and finding my own look and feel that felt natural. Now Im peers with a lot of the people who I looked up to, and Im incredibly grateful to have gotten here. I dont think that I ever reached the best gp creator status that I always wanted to reach, but I mean hey not everyone can. Im more than satisfied knowing that at the very least I made an impact on the community.
I know its a lot, sounds like im disappearing from the internet or something, but genuinely I think this is where my layout creating journey ends. I may make more gameplay for other levels I make, but my ventures in the game as a whole have been pretty uninspired as well so, who knows where this decision will lead me. You may see me pop up in the occasional friend collab though. Those are fun, and I think we should just have fun. After all this is just a game.
