You see, kiddos, this here is what we call "The Ratchet Affect" where Republicans force the entire country to the right and Democrats block any movement back to the left.
Isn't it strange how we still have Democrats like Andrew Cuomo and Hakeem Jeffries who are violently opposed to the views and needs of their own voter base, and who are also more open to attacking actual left wing candidates like Zorahn Mamdani over implementing real change to help their own constituents?
