Foxes and Brown Bears Tarot | Hero’s Journey Spread: A Reflection on the Past Year @foxesandbrownbearstarot7320 | Uploaded December 2020 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
This is a spread based on Joseph Campbell's archetypal 'hero's journey' to assist reflection on the past year. It basically views your year as a hero's quest in which you have been transformed in some way.

1. Call to Adventure - What you needed to achieve or change when the year began.
2. Refusal of the Call - What was holding you back from your goals (internal or external e.g. fear, obligation, financial insecurity).
3. Meeting the Mentor - What motivated you or gave you the courage to embark on your journey (internal or external).
4. Crossing the Threshold - The risks you took during the year e.g. trying new things.
5. Trials and Failures - The tests/challenges that you faced throughout the year.
6. Allies - The people who helped you along the way.
7. Enemies - The people who hindered you in your journey.
8. The Ordeal - The biggest challenge that you faced this year.
9. The Road Back - How your skills/knowledge/personal characteristics assisted you to navigate your journey.
10. The Reward - What you learned and gained by undertaking the journey.
