The Soul Bowl in Hermosa Beach, Ca.
This portable vert bowl set up was featured at many venues in the early 2000’s.
This was one of the first BMX events I attended after moving to SoCal.
As close as I’ll get to knowing what the King of Skateparks felt like in the ‘80’s.
This one had quite the line up-Mat Hoffman, Jay Miron, Bestwick, John Parker and Nyquist- just to name a few.
Shot on my very beat Sony Hi8 potato cam, just for fun.
I ended up shooting a bunch of these over the years for various outlets, and will be posting soon.
