El Siquisiri is the king of all sones jarochos, or as they say in Mexico, El Rey de Todos los Sones.

El Siquisiri is a vigorous son that features solos by Jose Marcelino on harp, Jorge Andres on requinto, and aggressive strumming on jaranas and guitar by the rest of the members. A standard in the son jarocho tradition, El Siquisiri boasts various instances of call and response, syncopation, and contra rhythms that are unique and essential in this style of music performance.
