What is different about a Heretic machine? There are several industry first innovations and a departure from normal sander design and performance standards/myths.
Myths:
- The machine has to be heavy so it runs smooth. Busted!
- Run the belt slow while applying high pressure with the blank. Busted!
- Fast belts heat up the blank. Busted!
- You can not grind a heat treated blank without ruining the heat treat. Busted!
- 7000 Surface feet per minute belt speed is way way too fast. Busted!
- An 11 lb. motor is to small and weak to power a 2" x 72" belt sander. Busted!!!

Reality:
- A well balanced lightweight rigid frame can run extremely smooth and very high speeds.
