Airlines are tightening rules around power banks after a series of mid-flight lithium-ion battery fires.

Power banks contain lithium-ion batteries which, if damaged or manufactured to a substandard level, can overheat and catch fire.

Emirates is one of the airlines now banning the use of power banks during flights due to safety concerns.
