Last year, I constructed a Victorian bathing suit to wear to the sea as my regular beach-faring attire. The 1880s bathing suit consists of a thin linen chemise with a lightweight cotton corset, followed by black cotton stockings, a contrasting linen bathing costume, black lightweight wool overskirt, and black wool bathing cap.
