I had an article published (Digitizing the Easel: Student Perspectives on Tutorial Videos in the Art Classroom) about creating and using tutorial videos in the peer-reviewed Art Education journal in July, but I am going to guess many of you aren't subscribers or National Art Education Association members, so you wouldn't have access to it! I am also going to guess you haven't seen my presentations (Meta-Tutorial: A Tutorial for Making Tutorials) at TIES or NAEA conferences about creating and using tutorial videos either...
So, here is my set up for creating my drawing tutorials in my home studio. I use a GoPro Hero 3+ on a clamp with a ring light attachment: (amazon.com/Mystery-Accessories-Shooting-Standard-Waterproof/dp/B019MWI85K/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1486248421&sr=8-2&keywords=gopro+ring+light)
I created a stand to clamp the camera and lights to out of PVC pipe. All of my lights have daylight spectrum bulbs to help with white balance.
