Well, good, wonderful, beautiful morning, Pawdience Audience! It’s been a few days since our last vlog, and things are looking a lot different in our Northern Michigan backyard. The grass is starting to peek through, but the cleanup from the recent ice storm is still in full swing. Jamie has been a rockstar picking up sticks, and we even started a "hot box" fire to clear out the debris. Of course, Eleanor decided that every stick was a snack, leading to some epic zoomies and "rooster tails" as she flew across the yard!
We also did a check-up on our apple trees to see if they survived the heavy ice. While some limbs snapped, we were so relieved to see brand new shoots and trees standing upright again. But just when we thought spring was here, Northern Michigan surprised us with a fresh blanket of snow. It’s a reminder that winter isn't over yet, but it sure makes for a quiet and beautiful morning with the girls.
On a more serious note, we are keeping a very close eye on Miss Memphis. Our sweet senior girl has been dealing with some tummy upset, likely a reaction to a new medication. Being almost 13 years old, we don't take any chances when something feels off. We’re starting her on probiotics and a bland diet to get her back to 100%. Thank you all for your love and support as we navigate life with our senior Huskies!
