Shaking Through is a documentary series about the birth of a song. Since 2010, the non-profit Weathervane Music, together with its widespread community of thousands of members, supporters and participating artists, has brought you this celebrated series. Every year we’ve asked you to help make another year of Shaking Through possible. And each time, you’ve stepped up – again and again and again.
Shaking Through creates opportunity, just as it documents and shares the work of select independent musicians – and nearly every time, it’s their best work to date. Each episode brings you a brand new song, a feature video about the artist’s vision, and a production video about the techniques used to record the song. On top of that, Weathervane Members can download and remix all Shaking Through raw audio files, then share their work back with the community on the episode webpage (See Weathervane Membership below).
