A long time ago, I was trying to figure out a good, reasonably consistent way to clear the first few chapters of Awakening on Lunatic+. There are ways to beat Lunatic+ with a high degree of reliability—check out @kuroittv5015 to see some amazing stuff!—but I specifically wanted to develop a strategy that satisfied a few special goals:
- I didn't want to focus all the resources into Robin. I wanted a strategy that was built with the deployment and training of a full army in mind.
- I didn't want to have to execute the full water trick in the Prologue. It's really annoying to do, and it's extremely frustrating when Robin gets destroyed by a crit from an Elthunder Mage 50 turns in. This makes the first point more necessary, since I'm not going to get Robin to level 8+ in the prologue.
- I wanted to support boon/bane combinations that aren't strictly optimal for clearing Lunatic+ (for which the best is probably +Spd/-Skl) but are better for post-game optimization, in case you want to take your L+ clear file into No-DLC/No-Rally Apotheosis or something.
Back when I was working on this, I developed what I think is a pretty good plan for the Prologue. I was also able to adapt methods from KTT and Interceptor (tinyurl.com/interceptor2Lplus) and others for beating chapters 2 and 3, and that got me far enough to really get going. However, I never did find a satisfactory way to plan out chapter 1. So that's what we're here to try to do! Will we figure out anything good? Who knows?
Special thanks to muhmuhten for developing a custom code patch for me that produces (approximately) fixed growths, but cut down by 20%. That means that, for example, a 60% growth rate gets treated as 0.48 and does not provide a stat point when leveling from 1 to 2, but does provide a point on the next level since 0.98 rounds up.
