Nearly 479,000 children arrived at the southern U.S. border alone between January 2021 and 2025. Some of these children are known to have been trafficked, exploited, and abused, and many remain missing today.
The Office of Refugee Resettlement at the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) within the Department of Health and Human Services is using multiple tools, including a national call center, to find these children and ensure they are safe.
