HELLSEED does a great job creating tension through atmosphere, environmental storytelling, and psychological horror rather than relying only on jump scares. I enjoyed investigating the mystery and exploring the detailed environments, but the constant performance issues made it difficult to stay immersed. The heavy frame drops became frustrating during important moments, and the copyrighted music is an unnecessary problem for YouTube creators. Overall, the game has some genuinely good ideas, but I expected a more polished experience considering how long it has been available.
