I missed staying up all night animating 馃挃 this took about 8 hours I think, question, I have the speedpaint of this and other short speedpaints, I wanna make a video showing them and talking, usually I hate talking but I wanna give it a chance
this video is for the day Julieta was captured. Her parents sent a whole army of robots I still have to design to look for Julieta after Isaac told them where she was in exchange for information about the energy stone, these robots didn't hesitate to shoot at anyone that was in their way or too close to Julieta, it was too dangerous to even try to help her so she decided to surrender and go to them by herself. And then we have this super dramatic scene where Isidora and Trevor are looking for Julieta, and they see her being taken by these robots, and she just turns around and smiles is she for real
this is before 脕gata cut Julieta's hair, wich btw started a fight between her parents that had been buried for a very long time, eventually leading Cris and Andr茅 to quit the proyect, hoping 脕gata will do the same so they can seek forgiveness from their daugther
also very valid question my brother asked abt this
why doesn't Julieta use her powers and send an infrasound wave amd makes the whole towet explode and runs away

1. even tho Julieta is scared,desperate and angry right now, she still doesn't want to hurt anyone, she just wants to leave in peace.
2. since Julieta disappeared 脕gata has been working on a weapon specially for her, that uses the same technology as a dome in the tower she is being kept in to neutralize her powers. Even tho she is taller than 脕gata now and could put up a fight, this dome makes her weak, and she also doesn't wanna risk energy on fighting, bc she knows shes gonna be there for a while and needs energy to escape.

TW HELLO blood and I think gore? idk if thats hard enough to be gore,theres also flashing lights, idk if vomit triggers people yall whatever
I would like to talk a bit more about these people (Julietas parents) bc they are just so disgusting, so disgusting it makes me uncomfortable so I avoid talking abt it 馃憤 but like I have to at some point, bc I cant show Julieta as this super traumatized and deeply broken character and then show you were that trauma comes from and is just the most plain normal even nice and comfortable family ever 馃挃 I gotta stop softening it to make myself comfortable and just let it develop itself even if it goes places I dont love. So yeah the portraits of Julieta are my way of representing that, all of them painted by Cristofer. he has the same motivations Andr茅 and 脕gata have, using Julieta as a medium to prove they are the best in their field. So Cristofer will do anything he thinks necessary to be able to paint Julieta, and him being hesitant or unsure of his methods doesnt really make him any less guilty and disgusting just shows hes fully aware of what hes doing and doesnt care for Julieta enough or in the right way to stop himself and stop Andr茅 and 脕gata.
so yeah the portraits are by him, some of them sold for insane amounts of money since people are not allowed to take pictures of Julieta, and they have ways of avoiding that, so the only actual visual representation of her is what you see from afar if you happen to be invited to a performance, or if you buy one of these paintings or see it online. these portraits are extremely idealized and dont really look like her, when Julieta escaped the images shown of her around the world to try to find her were not photos, they were these paintings, I like to think this is one of the reasons why even tho shes so close to Dexter no one has found her yet, because no one really knows what she looks like. the other pictures are also drawn by him, they are more quick and messy, he painted them in the moment when he saw Julieta cry or bleed, and used that as inspiration, edgy mf. also the painting easel in the corner in the scene with the bloody floor is his.
also I dont think I drew it well enough but on the hospital bed scene she has like strands of hair in her hand, bc yeah shes ripping it off, ok girl do whatever you wanna do.
anyways I made this thing inspired by a bunch of things, but mainly of a dream I had that was lowkey scary 馃ス and it involved Julieta, I never have dreams about my OCs and when I do they are always so bizarre or make no sense. but anyways I had this dream that lowkey ruined my day, and I spent the next like 2 weeks thinking about it and I remembered the art piece by Dino Buzzati, The Morning Visitor. and realized the style looked so much like what I saw in that dream, I cannot tell if it had the same meaning as his painting bc I gave it my own interpretation so idk but it gave me the spooks and it inspired me to actually T R Y to draw that, I could not show exactly how it was but its fine, I tried. then theres that theater Julieta performs on. I am really bad at drawing structures so I just mix images and paint over them 馃挃 its a mix of the great theater in Berlin and that one tall round museum idk where it is, you get the idea. the scene where shes laying on the bloody floor is straight out of that dream I had (obviously I added a few things) but I cannot explain to you the smell, I didnt know you could smell things in your dreams and I am not happy with the way I found out 馃挌 I gotta go work to provide for my family like a good man yall ok byeeee")
