Chaos Ensues covers Hellboy by writer/artist Mike Mignola. Inspired by (Jack Kirby) comics like Challengers of the Unknown from DC Comics and Fantastic Four from Marvel, Mignola wanted to create a team book of his own. What started off as a demonic sketch evolved into an entire universe about a paranormal investigator. This video essay is also made for any new readers of Hellboy not knowing where to start. Also diving into Mignola’s days as an artist cutting his teeth at Marvel (Namor) and DC.

He wasn’t mentioned in the essay but shoutout to colorist Dave Stewart for his amazing work in the Hellboy universe.
