Giving Hellblade a 10 might seem a little weird. Especially since I gave Horizon a lesser score, but I just can't underline how moving and excellent this game was for me. I really loved it. So, I asked myself, "if this game doesn't get a 10 out of me, then what does?" I don't want my standards to be so out of reach that I never hand out 10s. Plus, at the end of the day, this is just one man's opinion. And Hellblade has everything that I personally want out of a game. So, 10 out of 10 it is.
ALSO- yes, I forgot to mention the permadeath mechanic in the review! However, after doing research and dying myself many many times, it became apparent to me that it is a BLUFF. So, it has no impact on the score or gameplay for me. It had such little effect on me that I forgot to mention it, after all. So I feel neutral about it.
