Hello Youtube! Welcome back to the channel and yet another Vlog where I tell you guys a little bit more about a cool piece of kit that just arrived at my door! The HELIO RC Spring Flight controller promises a revolution in flight performance by adding a hardware filtered 32khz to the mix.
I have seen some flight footage out there and spoken to many HELIO owners and the feedback so far has been very positive on flight characteristics.
We will be putting those claims to the test over the next few weeks as I get around to building, tuning and flying the Helio RC Spring.
Did I mention they come pre-buttered?

I already showed you guys the maiden yesterday and that was some pretty butter smooth performance straight out of the box. This flight I am sharing today is after a mere 2 packs of tuning.. I will walk you through it because it was so dead simple.
First Pack - Maiden...
Second Pack - Cranked P gains to 60 on Pitch and Roll, Cranked I to 60 and dropped D to 28.
Third Pack - Dropped P by 2 points per axis, dropped D by 1 point per axis..
And that was it.. the quad was locked, loaded and buttery smooth. It felt great to fly this quad, if I tweak it just a little bit more I am sure I can get rid of some of the tiny flutters, but those only happen at the most extreme of direction changes.
Anyway... I am dead set convinced that the motion coprocessor architecture that HELIO is bringing to the table is going to be the future of quads. They are not looking to be the sole manufacturer of the technology either, they are looking to license this to other OEMs. I guarantee you will be seeing more of this type of FC in the near future.")

I have been having a blast with the Clearview - probably the best upgrade I have made all year by far. It just gives you such a solid clean video link that its kind of amazing.
Waiting to get some good directional antennas to really boost the range on these.")

Ive been getting busier and busier as the business starts to take off so its been really tough for me to bring you guys build & reviews like I used to. Instead we will have to make do with reviews.
I will still be bringing you guys info on Betaflight 3.3 and the BlHeli_32 ESCs in straight forward terms as per usual. Personally I just cant wait for nice weather so I can get out and rip some more!")

Hey guys! I finally got the chance to Maiden the APEX now that the weather cleared a bit and just in time to try out the new Clearview RACE set that I got.
Really blown away on the performance of both of these so look forward to a full Tune guide on the APEX and a review on the Clearview.
This was just a bit of testing I was doing with the APEX - I am super impressed with Betaflight 3.2 RC6 so I am going to flash it to 3.2.1 next before doing the tuning video")

So here we have it guys, took me about 3 hours to build with the HELIO FC using a Matek PDB. Overall I am pretty happy with the layout. The weird corner motor pads actually work really damn well and keep the wires off the top of the FC.
This DVR is entirely STOCK settings - all I did was set RX / Failsafe / Rates and run the IMUF update. It flew freaking great though a bit too loose for my liking. The next flight I cranked P gain, went a lil too far.. backed it up in the next flight and it was perfection.
Will post the post-tune flight later.
