Today we leave Las Vegas and head straight to the Hoover Dam. After taking a tour of the intake pipe and power station, we head up to the top of the dam to marvel at the view. Viewing the dam from the dam is very cool, but I wanted to see it from above, so I drove 15 minutes to take a helicopter ride over the dam with Papillon Helicopter Tours. The views were breathtaking. We then hit the road and drive for many hours to TenX campground, just south of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon in the Kaibab National Forest, where I spend the night.
