Hawaii’s own Hele Rolls is taking its island-inspired flavors to the national stage! The local food truck is featured on Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race, hosted by Tyler Florence.
Jasmine Milam and Kawai Lopez of Hele Rolls joined Brittni Friedlander on Wake Up 2day to talk about their experience competing on the popular food truck competition and what it was like representing Hawaii on a national stage.
The duo shared a behind-the-scenes look at their time on the show, including the challenges of competing against food truck teams from across the country and putting their own Hawaii-inspired spin on their menu. Hele Rolls offers a variety of unique flavors, including its popular lilikoi flavor, showcasing the bold and tropical flavors Hawaii is known for.
Hele Rolls also keeps things fresh with monthly flavors and specials, giving customers something new to look forward to. Peanut butter is one flavor that may make an appearance, and a guava flavor could be coming for September — so stay tuned to see what the next monthly special will be!
